Zindagi (TV channel)

Zindagi (also known as Zindagi TV and, Zee Zindagi) is an Indian Urdu language entertainment television channel, owned by the Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEEL).〔〔〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=New Hindi channel Zindagi )〕 Launched on 23 June 2014, ZEEL invested 1 billion to launch the network. The channel in its early days aired only syndicated Urdu television shows from Pakistan.〔 And when the channel was launched, ZEEL had declared that Zindagi would also telecast television shows from various others Muslim countries such as Bangladesh, Egypt, Iran, Turkey, and Kuwait, in the future.〔
The channel thus initially launched with the premise of airing only programs that featured characters outside of India.〔 It also promoted itself as a channel broadcasting short-run programming and as India's only premium Hindi-Urdu entertainment channel, rather than on-going, indefinite serials.〔〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Content differentiation has been the clear winner for Zindagi: Punit Goenka )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Zindagi - Winning Accolades! )〕 Its syndicated Pakistani telenovela, ''Aunn Zara'', premiered on 23 June 2014, the day the channel was launched,〔 and ended its run on Zindagi on 12 July 2014,〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.dnaindia.com/entertainment/report-aunn-zara-zindagi-s-refreshing-love-story-draws-for-a-season-closure-today-2001638 )〕 thus, making Zindagi the first Hindi general entertainment channel in India, to end a show in 20 days.
In early-May 2015, Zindagi for the first time in its history launched two shows of US origin, dubbed in Hindi-Urdu. One was ''Simply Beautiful'', a health and beauty tips show hosted by Roni Proter, while the other was ''Nirmala's Spice World'', a cookey show hosted by Chef Nirmala Narine. This was followed by the launch of ''Naturally Delicious'' (dubbed in Hindi-Urdu) in mid-June 2015. The channel also launched its first original Indian production, ''Shukriya'', a reality show, in early-August 2015. ''Shukriya'' provides a platform to common people to come on television, share their personal stories, and say 'thank you' to their dear and loved ones. Zindagi also formed a partnership with BIG FM 92.7 for seven weeks, starting on 27 July 2015 (nearly two weeks before ''Shukriyas launch), to promote ''Shukriya'' through the radio using various methods, programmes, and special segments. This promotion on BIG FM spanned across its 24 radio stations based in various cities of India.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Zindagi Partners with BIG FM to Give its Listeners a Unique 'Shukriya' Eeperience )
Zindagi announced plans to venture into original fiction programming with two programmes, Bhaage Re Mann and Aadhe Adhoore.
Zindagi has also commissioned 6 telefilms each from Pakistan and India film makers for broadcast.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Humayun Saeed and Marina Khan return in 'Lala Begum' )
